Founded by Doug Rasmussen, a 20-year veteran of complex business affairs across multiple industries, Mighty City exists to help you, the artist or venue, succeed. Our goals are to get great music into the world and patrons into the club.

Doug Rasmussen

Doug has done hundreds of millions of dollars of business deals in his laid-back, humorous, responsible, organized, easy to work with style. Doug is comfortable in a wide range of situations, and lives by the credo that making it happen is expected, and screwing up is not an option. He brings his unique combination of focus, experience and pure enjoyment of music to every client.

Doug began his music career at the ripe age of 7, when he discovered the sounds of Australian heavy metal and British invasion rock on scratchy vinyl. Through the 80s, he overdosed on music videos and became mesmerized with a wide variety of music, including, but not limited to: new wave, pop, heavy metal, hair metal, late 80s indie and 90s (and 2000s and 2010s) indie, pretty much anything that rocks, shoegazes, has soul, wonderful distortion, haunting lap steel, a wondrous lead voice, and/or a solid rhythm section.
